The short answer
If you already know what your skin needs and your difficulty is doing it every day, Skinify is the better fit: logging, streaks and a calendar are its core, and that core is free. If you do not yet know what your skin needs, or you want to find out whether the routine is working rather than whether you did it, Beeuty is the better fit: a deeper free scan, a face map, and a routine and ingredient tools derived from the read.
They are the two most honest apps in our comparison about what they are. Both say cosmetic, not medical. Both keep history. The difference is which end you start from.

What each app actually is
Skinify: AI Skin Analyzer, from Skinify AI Ltd, is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS 16.6 or later, about 170 MB, version 1.3.2 released October 2026). A selfie is analysed for seven factors: hydration, texture, pores, redness, oiliness, dark spots and fine lines, producing a skin type and a skin score. The app's centre is the routine: you add products you already own, log them, keep streaks, see seven-day averages and a calendar of what you logged. The listing states that routine building, logging, streaks, the calendar and your history are "free and stay free", while Premium unlocks the complete scan breakdown with every factor score and up to three scans a day. It also states: "Skinify provides cosmetic skincare guidance for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device," and that "your photos are yours — analysis happens for you, not for an ad profile." A retention period is not stated. At the time of writing the US listing had not accumulated enough ratings to show a score.
Beeuty ("AI Skin & Face Scanner: beeuty") is an iPhone and iPad app (iOS 16.4 or later, version 1.2 as of October 2026). One selfie produces a 0–100 skin score, an estimated skin age (Glow Age), skin type and Fitzpatrick phototype, and a face map of blemishes, pores and texture, fine lines, sun damage, hydration and redness. It builds an ingredient-led routine, offers an ingredient guide and an Ingredient Check that reads a product label from a photo, and keeps scan history with the score trend; version 1.2 also added daily ritual reminders for water, sunscreen and the evening routine. Free with an optional PRO subscription; analysis photos deleted after 30 days; results stated to be cosmetic estimates, not a medical device.

Where Skinify is the better choice
- Logging what you actually did. Product-by-product daily logs with a calendar and streaks are Skinify's core. Beeuty's rituals cover three habits (water, SPF, evening routine), not a full product log.
- Starting from your shelf. You add the products you already own and build around them. Beeuty starts from the scan and suggests ingredients.
- Seven-day averages. A smoothed view of consistency is useful if consistency is the problem.
- A generous free core. Everything about the routine is free and stated to stay free.
- Three scans a day on Premium, if you want morning and evening comparisons, though we would argue weekly scans in fixed light are more informative.
Where Beeuty is the better choice
- The free scan is the full scan. Skinify's complete factor breakdown sits behind Premium. Beeuty's score, face map, skin type, phototype and skin age are free.
- Breadth. Thirteen analyses versus seven factors, including skin type and phototype estimated from the photo and a sun damage read.
- The face map. Knowing redness is on the cheeks and congestion on the nose is more actionable than a single redness score.
- Ingredient intelligence. The ingredient guide ranks actives for your scan and flags clashes; the Ingredient Check reads any label. Skinify logs products; Beeuty reads them. See how to read an ingredient list for what that catches.
- A stated photo policy. "Your photos are yours" is good intent; "deleted after 30 days" is a checkable commitment.
Who should pick which
Pick Skinify if you have a routine you believe in and your struggle is doing it consistently. The logging is the product and it is free.
Pick Beeuty if you are not sure what your skin needs, you want a full read without paying, or you want to judge whether a routine is working, which is a different question from whether you did it. The skin score guide explains the 8-to-12-week test.
Use both if you want Beeuty's read and routine plus Skinify's day-by-day log. They complement each other better than most pairs on our list.
Looking for a Skinify alternative?
If you came to Skinify for the scan and found the full breakdown paywalled, Beeuty gives you the full read free, with more analyses and a face map. If you came for the logging, Beeuty's rituals are lighter and you may want to keep Skinify for that part.
