The short answer
Lovi asks a long quiz, then shows a paywall, then leans on a daily routine and product lists. Beeuty asks for one selfie and leans on a score, a face map and ingredients. Both talk about AI skincare. They start from opposite ends of the bathroom shelf.
US App Store figures below are as of October 2026. Onboarding detail comes from a ScreensDesign review. Review themes come from the newest US ratings (up to 100). Company growth figures are what Lovi shared via a partner post, not our measurement.
What each app actually is
Lovi is published by DIGITAL SKINCARE INC. On the US App Store as of October 2026 it shows a 4.64 rating from 3,925 ratings, version 3.2.5 dated 19 October 2026, and in-app purchases of weekly $7.99, monthly $12.99, 3-month $29.99, yearly $49.99 and a bundle at $39.99. A third-party onboarding review describes a 20-step quiz followed by a soft paywall, and an App Tracking Transparency screen before that flow. Store screenshots, summarised at concept level, lead with a science-based AI cosmetologist, a routine, a face scan, AI questions and answers, product discovery, a daily plan, and a “brand independent” line. Newest US reviews often mention the step-by-step routine and product lists. Complaints cluster around not being able to cancel, the number of charges, and an affiliate-link feel. One October 2026 one-star US review wrote: “They will not allow you to cancel your service!” That is one review, not a legal finding; we have not walked the in-app cancel path. A 2026 LinkedIn post that Lovi shared, written with a partner physician, stated $10M+ ARR, 350k+ downloads and fourfold yearly growth. Treat that as a company-adjacent public claim.
Beeuty (“AI Skin & Face Scanner: beeuty”) is an iPhone and iPad app (iOS 16.4 or later). One selfie produces a 0–100 skin score, an estimated skin age (Glow Age), skin type and phototype, and a face map covering blemishes, pores and texture, fine lines, sun damage, hydration and redness. It builds an ingredient-led routine, offers an ingredient guide and a label-reading Ingredient Check, and keeps a score history. Free to download with optional PRO; analysis photos deleted after 30 days; results stated to be cosmetic estimates, not a medical device.

Where Lovi is the better choice
- A larger US rating base. 3,925 ratings at 4.64 is still far ahead of Beeuty’s current US count.
- Step-by-step routines and product lists are what current US reviews most often like. If that is the job, Lovi is aimed at it.
- “Brand independent” is a store message, not a lab result — but it is the positioning. Beeuty is brand-neutral by organising the routine around ingredients instead.
- A face scan plus Q&A is on the screenshot set. We have not used the Q&A ourselves.
Where Beeuty is the better choice
- Shorter onboarding. One selfie versus a 20-step quiz before the paywall.
- A stated photo policy. Deleted after 30 days. We could not find Lovi’s period.
- A zone map. Knowing redness is on the cheeks is more actionable than a product list alone. See the routine builder.
- Label check, not only a list. The Ingredient Check reads any product you already own.
- Clear cosmetic framing. Beeuty says it is not a medical device. The comparison that still sits above both apps is selfie analysis versus a dermatologist.
Who should pick which
Pick Lovi if you want a quiz-built routine with product lists and you are comfortable reading the US listing’s many IAP prices first.
Pick Beeuty if you are on iPhone or iPad and you want the skin read first, then a routine you can check against any label.
Cancellation complaints in US reviews are real comments from real accounts; they are not a substitute for reading Apple’s subscription rules and the in-app cancel path before you pay either app. If something on your skin is new, changing or painful, skip both and book a dermatologist.
Looking for a Lovi alternative?
If you wanted Lovi’s routine builder and found the quiz or the paywall a poor fit, Beeuty starts from the selfie instead. If you wanted product lists specifically, Beeuty will not replace a catalogue — it will read a label you already have. Nearby pages: Beeuty vs Thea and Beeuty vs Skan.
